Ok so I delayed reading this book, because I am against anything "trending now." Then I saw it was free on my Kindle for Prime users so I figured what the hay.
To call it The Hunger Games is a bit strange considering the main focus of the book isn't about hunger.
A group of people are selected to kill each other in the spirit of a game, The are tossed into an arena type forest/jungle but it isn't just the game itself that makes this book interesting. It's how they select these people, who get's selected, and the suspense and emotion that goes with seeing the games develop. The book is told through first person in the eyes of Katniss. There is so many other things going on and just like every book it starts off slow, but I finished 60% of this book and 100% of the second one in 3 days. I can't say more without ruining it. I read it without knowing anything about it and that's why i liked it. No expectations or bias.
I advice everyone to read the book before the film, as most films do (except maybe twilight) they ruin the book.
